Gather (previously-known-as Raildiary) exists to accelerate sustainable construction through the consistent capture and analysis of site data. Their platform supports thousands of site teams and billions in infrastructure spending, driving improved outcomes with every shift. They are supporting a digital revolution in the global construction industry by delivering a market leading solution for the capture and productivity analysis of site data.
Gathers main challenge was that their current website was build by their in house developers on a platform that only the developers could use. As a growing startup, they were frequently needing to update their messaging on their website to align with their growing product offering. Developers time is precious, especially in a start up company.
We started with a discovery call to fully understand the goals for the new website. Working closely with their marketing team, we identified the desired content for each page. To ensure the language used was compelling and converted leads effectively, Gather Insights collaborated with a professional copywriter.
I recommended using Webflow, a no-code website builder platform. Webflow offers a variety of features that allow the creation of bespoke websites without requiring advanced coding skills, making it an ideal solution for non-developers.
The client found a template that covered all the necessary pages and more, which helped keep costs down while maximising impact.
Although we purchased the template, we adapted the design to better fit the content the client wanted to include. This customisation ensured that the website not only looked great but also effectively communicated their message.
To visually convey the features of their app, Gather wanted clear and informative illustrations. Having previously worked with them on app feature designs, I was familiar with their platform and the best ways to showcase its capabilities. We created several illustration options and presented them to the client. They selected a design that included more detail, which was suprising to us as we predicted they would rather simply imergy that conveyed the feature without showing too much detail. But the people we are marketing to are looking for a platform that captures a lot of detail so they want to see examples of this on the website.
The new website for Gather achieved all the set objectives. It featured a refreshed UI, was built on the user-friendly Webflow platform, and included clear, illustrative content. Now, the marketing team can easily update the site to reflect their growing product offerings, freeing up developers to focus on their core tasks. The result is a professional, sleek, and highly functional website that supports Gather Insights' mission to revolutionize the construction industry.
